I Advantage of silicon carbide as the refractory container
1. The saggar/crucible of silicon carbide has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, good thermal shock stability, small expansion coefficient, corrosion resistance, peeling resistance, good pulverization resistance and good creep property at high temperature. And with good heat conduction performance, products are heated evenly, effectively reduce energy consumption, accelerate the firing speed, and ultimately improve the output;
2. Thickness of siicon carbided crucible as refractory material: silicon carbide sagger/crucible can be made thinner, which is conducive to heat conduction;
3. Service life: silicon carbide sagger/crucible service life is longer, as long as there is no man-made damage, it can be used for a long time.
II Comparison with other refractory materials
1. The service life of silicon carbide sagger/crucible is 3-5 times that of ordinary graphite crucible, and 8-10 times that of corundum mullite;
2. The thermal conductivity of silicon carbide saggar/crucible is 3-4 times that of corundum mullite, and the porosity is very small.
3. The thermal expansion coefficient of silicon carbide sagger/crucible is 6-7 times lower than that of graphite crucible.
4. With excellent property, the price of silicon carbide is 5-8 times higher than that of graphite crucible
