Since the 1990s, rising global MLCC market is in high demand, because of its small volume, low price, low equivalent series resistance, as well as good frequency performance, the capacitor in the market has become the most mainstream products. At the same time, MLCC is more likely to substitute other types of capacitor.

In the future, MLCC will continue to miniaturize with larger capacity, higher reliability and low cost.With the development of miniaturization and large capacity, the number of dielectric layers is increasing while the thickness of dielectric layers is also decreasing. At present, the thinnest MLCC medium layer in the world has reached about 1um.
In addition, MLCC capacitors are also moving towards lower cost, and the rapid development of lower cost base metal electrodes requires reducing the calcining temperature during the preparation of dielectric ceramics to match the cheap metal electrodes, and achieving medium and low temperature calcining.With the development of MLCC, high purity and ultrafine ceramic powders are required technically, and low calcining temperature is also required.
At present, the preparation methods of barium titanate powder mainly include solid phase synthesis method and liquid phase synthesis method, etc.
In the solid phase method, the most commonly used method is high temperature calcining synthesis method. The powder is contained in cordierite mullite sagger or crucible under the temperature of 1100℃ in the pusher plate kiln.
